He began his professional career as a musician, joining Jerry Lee Lewis’s band at 19, before going on to perform and record with artists including Van Morrison, Paul Weller, Jools Holland, Jeff Beck and Ronnie Wood.

Sounding unlike any other orchestra in the UK with their rock’n’roll energy, The Icons Orchestra is an explosively exciting ensemble of the UK’s very best musicians & singers.
Under the Musical Directorship and curation of Leo Green, they have been regular fixtures on BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night, having also previously worked with the likes of: Elvis Costello, Tom Jones, Ronnie Wood, Van Morrison, Brian May, John Oates, (Hall & Oates), Beverley Knight, Tom Chaplin (Keane), Dionne Warwick, Jack Savoretti, Imelda May, Mika, Rick Astley, Jason Scheff (Chicago), Holly Johnson, Ben E. King and many more.
Many of the artists celebrated in these concerts are not around to perform these songs anymore — the songs are very much the stars of the show and with the incredible Icons Orchestra performing them, these concerts deliver a night that audiences never forget.
